Pros

It is a Benz

Cons

Acceleration

My Car — A very reliable car. Good gas mileage, and it rarely needs any service. It accelerates very slow, but it is still nice. Pretty good safety too. That is all.

Nice Roomy Business Car, Very Representative — Nice big and strong, heavy performance machine, German quality and performance 200 kph is nothing for this heavy car! Nice upholstery and features. Very comfortable to drive, high trade in value! It never tires you down, it's like sitting in your den....

A Great Car. — Driving a European version 3.2 300E (W124). Loads of neat touches, designed and constructed with Teutonic efficiency. A load of room inside, great ride, fun to drive, sits very well on the road. Current priced used 300's give a lot of car for the money. Fuel mileage is good for a large car, I get 25 mpg doing 80-90+.

Excellent — heavy strong, safe car...not great acceleration...weakness seems to be braking system. Otherwise, everything very tight.

Rare 300ce — 177 hp 3.2l v6 not the fastest car but enough to get the job done stops very well for a heavy car. it has the smallest turning circle of any car ive driven. its pretty durable for what its been through and the age but good for the most part. its not very modern styling but its styling that lasts so it will still look good in years to come. it doesnt get the best mileage but it gets 19 average. its pretty fun to drive with a k&n air filter it sounds like a race car so thats pretty fun. overall its good

This Is One Of A Kind Type Of Car, One Of The Best Cars That Were Ever Made — One of the best Mercedes that was ever made. Google around and you will learn more about this last "over-engineered" car... great car!! Very comfortable ride for both driver and passenger, galvanized steel body for extra protection (look for the crash test video.. OMG), excellent fuel economy for the size, just great

Pros

Great ride - classic looks.  At 16 years old, it doesn't look like an old car.

Cons

Design flaw in the engine... rods too weak for new larger pistons.  Wire insulation made of bio-degradeable material.

45

Old Luxury — No cup-holders? Ha!!! Who needs them?!?!? With a ride this smooth, you just set the drink down, really. Diesel means this 4600 pound behemoth gets well over 30 miles per gallon on the freeway. S Class Mercedes are the pinnacle of luxury and this no different. You'd be amazed at the feature list for a 1993 model. This shouldn't be classified as a "300-Class".... this is an S-Class.

handling, comfort, fuel economy

Cons

cost of repair and parts

One Of The Best Ive Owned — I like the fact of owning a big body benz, the power could be better, however, the ergonomics and accessories are wonderful. Appearance is good, smooth, flowing lines not characteristic to the previous W126 chassis, but more refined and not as harsh. The cost of ownership is quite a financial burden, but not as bad as previous models. The W140 chassis benz is not what you would call a fun car to drive, however, the handling is not that of a vehicle of this size, actually suprising how well it handles.

200d — Absolutely horribile performance. You can not overtake any cars if you are driving 80 km/h ore more. Car has only 139000 original kilometers in the tachometer, so condition is excellent. Like a new car. One previous owner. This is for sale also. I don´t want to keep it because I already have more than enought cars.
