ProsPlenty of torque Consnot the best on speed
55
1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4x4 — Its got the jeep off road look. Its got a great I6 ''straught six'' engine in it, not the best on speed but it delivers plenty of torque for those off road 4x4 excursions. Very easy to upgrade I already upgraded with a cold air intake with no problem, and it really made a difference. A lift kit would be easy to install with a floor jack, jack stands and some basic hand tools. Its acceleration is about medium which is good enough for me. The braking has exelent stoping power somtimes it squeaks but its not because of brake wear. Its because somtimes dirt gets in them and causes it to make these sounds. The handling is really good your not going to want to take it around a corner going at 90mph because it is an off road vehicle that sits higher off the ground than most cars do.When I first bought it I had to replace the transfer case which I believe the last owner abused. It does have a minor coolant leak which should'nt be hard to repair, probably a hose. If you want to get a Jeep your going to want to order some floor liners to protect the carpet , mine came with them and they have really saved me a lot of trouble. The exterior is really rugged looking, if you have matalic paint its going to want to fade mine is faded on the roof but get you some good polish or rubbing compound and you can get it to look a lot better. Always wax your Jeep at least once every three months or else the paint will fade I believe thats what the last owners neglected, thats why its faded so remember to take extra care of metalic paint. The Jeep grand cherokees are considerably cheap to buy and the older models are a lot tougher than the newer ones believe it or not. The gas mileage is really good considering the weight of the vehicle I get about 18-20 mpg. And last of all this car is a blast to drive I look forward to it every day. keep it really nice and clean and you will notice that people turn their head to it more often. What I really like about it you can practically go any place off road with it especially with 4x4 , it really comes in handy. So I would recomend this car to anybody and remember the key word is Jeep.

ProsAll wheel drive, power, looks, room, comfort. all around a great vehicle Consgas mileage but its to be expected with a V8

1993 Jeeep Cherokee Limited — Performance-it has a 318 so it accelerates very quickly, brakes very well, and handles better than any other suv i have driven. plus its all wheel drive so its great in snow and rain even when your taking off and slowing down at what would usually be unsafe speeds. Build Quality-it still runs great at 240,000 miles and i'm a little hard on cars. no squeaks/rattle, it acts/sounds brand new. Appearance-i like the way it looks, plus it has leather interior, everything is digital except your dash. so you have your average mpg, temp, miles till empty, miles till service on digital displays. plus its very comfortable. Cost of Ownership-since its 15 years old and high miles i didnt pay much for it and no work is necissary cheap especially for all that you get as long as you can afford 13mpg or so. i drive it hard and fast and rarely on the interstate so other people could get better gas mileage i'm sure. Fun Factor-very fun, epecially if you live in the country. It handles all terrain with ease, if you like to play in the mud or snow its perfect for not getting stuck although the all wheel drive feature can't be disabled so burnouts and donuts are a little tough, but you shouldn't be doing that in an suv anyways, although i do and it hasn't came close to tipping yet which surprised me considering how easily other suv around its size do. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

ProsPower/ heavey duty / high Conshigh ways

I Love It — very high performance and acceleration especially when using the over drive buttom it gives the car very high power at the high way , also because it is 4w all the time it is so fast .it looks good although it is old shape or the first grand shape at 1993 but i like it and also from inside it is good with a big space at the back for luggages storage or if you have more than 3 kids .. Prosvery fun to drive Consbad gas mileage

It Is Fun But Not Completely Practicle For Everybody. — It has over 200,000 miles on it and I (with the help of some friends) replaced the 4.0 liter straight 6 in it about 3,000 miles ago. It runs and sounds good but with a '93, you're bound to have mechanical failures which is to be expected. I use it to pull a 4-wheeler trailer which is a main reason why I have an SUV. With exhaust, subs and lights, it has brought me lots of enjoyment. Primary Use: Commuting to work

Great For The Outdoors Men — Great vehicle hard on petrol but what a ride. Accelaeation is excellent, what would you expect from a v-8. It is ikd but all the toys function properly and with the rear seats down the is place for all kind of things or activities!!! Bottom Line. Buy New. Not Used Off Of Someones Front Lawn. And Do Your Research — jeep stands for just empty every pocket $. i would love to drive a newer one preferably the SRT8, however when i do purchase a new vehicle its going to be a car because jeeps just dont get as many miles to the gallon for the driving i do.
