Prosit's a truck with the best engine ever in it Consgas mileage

4 Wheel Drive — the performance on this truck will soon be tweaked a little :) i need new brakes and have for awhile and it handles fairly well except i need a new sway bar bushings (i blame mudding for that) this thing wil go through alot of mud with A/Ts and i mean ALOT (but what do expect from a GMC) It hasn't fallen apart yet and squeaks usaully start appearing when you have a system in the car Gas mileage sucks but what do you expect from a v-8. only major repair was the ignition module (easy fix though) and its a truck with 4 wheel drive so mudding is fun Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

ProsBecause it is a bulletproof GM truck from the best truck plant, Oshawa! ConsAvoid it if you are a tree hugging, fuel sipping, hippy who likes to leave a small "foot print" on the environment, cause let's face it, this thing leaves more than a footprint, it leaves a crater!

I Am Always Happy When I Get In This Truck And Start It, And It Has Never Failed Me Yet! — Because this is a heavy full size pickup, it has bad braking, leans excessively in the corners, and accelerates sluggish. But, thtat will all be fixed next year. Build Quality is second to none, operating cost is high, as with any GM full size from 88-98, but as long as you can live with the quirks of an older pickup, this is the best option for the money, don't even think about touching Dodge(wiring goes bad, rusts out, bad transmissions) or Ford (wiring fires, rots out in no time, breaks down) when looking for a older pickup! Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Its Good To Have If You Have A Job To Put The Gas In It Every Week — it runs great for the condition that it is in even though it has some problems its still a great truck to drive. gas on it is a pain cause it sucks it all up even though its a V6 Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Gmc Sierra 4.3 — Love my truck. It's usefullness and reliabilty. Looks agressive and real easy to work on/service. Room in the back with the 8ft bed for anything I need to haul. Have driven throughout the US with her and knock on wood never let me down. Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

ProsUltimate truck, utility, sport and raw power. ConsGas mileage but its no S-10, so gotta pay the cost to be the boss.

An Ideal Truck — Performance is what you'd expect from the rock solid 350 V8, pure power. Truck is solid as a brick wall and the body had held well over 19 years, including the last 15 as a southern Illinois farm truck. Maintenance is low, just regular maintenace, and a set of tires. Truck is a blast to drive, has custom dual exhuast with chrome tips, sounds awesome. Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

I Love This Truck! — when i bought this truck three years ago i got a binder with every shop and part receipt in it.... all oil changes tranny flushes, everything. it was and still is in great shape. 350 with the TBI set up makes it ballsy and reliable. all ive done for any kind of upgrade is a cold air, throttle body spacer, 3 inch exhaust and a flowmaster super 44, lifted 3 inchs, put on 285 tires on 16 inch eagle alloy wheels. Love this truck. Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.) |
