ProsPower and Handling ConsGas mileage

A Must Have For Ford Lovers. Just The Motor Is Awesome! — This truck has loads of power as it is. The 5.0 really kicks in at high rpms. Gas mileage is pretty low due to no overdrive since the tranny is slipping. But loads of fun overall. Easy to get power out of the truck and no problem blasting past other drivers. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

ProsEverything ConsNot in production any more!!!

Toughest Truck Made — After 187.000 miles this truck has done it all. Burried to the fenders in mud, pulled anything and everything you can think of, been hit three times has never left me on the side of the road. She is starting to show her age, she has cancer everywhere, tailgate is dented up from a broken chain while pulling stumps. Whit scratehes all over from to many trips through the woods and brush and a broken dash from and very upset wife of a friend of mine on a float trip (Amy). This will be the best truck I will probly ever own, I think I will go outside and give her a bath. She deserves it.

Prosits not a car its a truck and it's worth everything ive had to deal with to get to this point ConsNothing i can't fix

Great Truck And Wish They Made Them Like This Still — Well she's a lot of fun to drive, 165 hp and 265 torc, great a towing and doing burn outs. she get about 600k to a 75L tank witch is pritty good for a 18 yr old truck. i found her at the side of the road beat up and broken down, it took me 3 years to get her road worthy again. She was worth the wait, with a 2.5 inch lift kit by rough country and a light bar by carr. she still has a few queaks and rattles but i've fixed most of the rust and and alot of other issuse but she's a truck and drives like one and i wouldn't have it any other way. parts are easy to get but like every car theres a few hard parts to find and theres been a few i've had ford remake ( that one was a pipe coming off the thermostate they havent made in 10 years) but i've 2 toned the intiorror Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Good, Solid, Reliable — Drives well for an older truck, reliability has been very good, drives when I need it, easy to care for, handles all kinds of weather and conditions just fine. I like the look of the older 150's. Been a great truck for us. Primary Use: Commuting to work

I Love It Just Like A Family Member Wouldnt Trade It For Anything In The Word. — this is the best truck i have ever owned it has taken a beating through the years everything is stock on the truck except the radio it has over 300,000 miles on it and still pulls like a hoss,it its fun to drive and a beautiful ride the only think thats really been wrong with it is the lifters squeek when you get over 60 but thats nothin that cant be replaced.a fun truck i use it every day for hauling stuff around or just to take a little cruise in. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

ProsWorking 4 wheel drive, locking front and rear differentials, great radio. ConsBad/slipping automatic, computer-operated transmission. High-mileage and low fuel-mileage.

Tough As Nails. Ford Tough. — This is the first truck I've bought that was newer than (at most) 20 years old. So far, it's taken absolutley everything I've thrown at, including but not limited to, personel carrier at a 50+ acre grass/wildland fire, hauling/pulling loads in excess of 6 tons (for a half-ton!), and treating it like a hot-rod on the streets. I've only owned 1 tougher truck than this (it was a 1978 version of this one, actually) and it only got 5 Miles Per Gallon. Considering fuel prices now-a-days, my measley 12 Miles Per Gallon is not bad for what I put this truck through. If I could fix one thing on this thing, it would definitly be the transmission, which (when I bought it) I was unaware of its deteriated condition and it has only gotten worse from there.

Proslots of nice factory options, great torque, very smoothe, fun to drive, handles very well for a pickup, unstoppable in low range! Consstiff ride, kinda low higher end power, not a full posi rear end, bad MPG, and power steering pump tends to whine (as most ford trucks do)
45
Nice All Around Pickup — a ton of lower end torque, pretty good mid range hp, about 9 to 1 compression ratio, very reliable 4WD, and great ground clearence. with my michelin LTX tires (not in photo) it sits about 26" off the ground. 5 litre engine that with my simple mods puts out about 330 lbs ft of torque at about 2,000 RPM. has a smoothe 5 speed manual trans with a fairly light clutch. ENGINE IS INDESTRUCTABLE!

ProsIt was reliable and fun to drive Consgas mileage and it was a little loud on the highway
125
Buy It — *This truck was not very fast by any standards *brakes were great stopped on a dime for a truck *handling was not premium, it has a very wide wheel base so it did not turn very well *this truck wngine sounded nice the noise in the cab was a little loud on the highway but not terrible *in the winter the truck would go but did not stop very well *this is one of the toughest vehicles i have ever had a chance to drive or even see, most of the truck is made out of metal, the engine in this thing is a freaking beast, it just keeps going no matter what *appearance this thing was not the ugliest but was not a shiny new F-150 either, it looks tough and rugged *Gas was not good at all this thing got maybe 12 mpg on a good day, parts for this truck were cheap and easy to come by, not to mention this is a easy vehicle to work on because it is so easy to access any of the parts because of all the space. *this is a great off roading toy if you want to have some cheap fun i would recommend this truck highly.
