Cons

none, unless you can't drive stick

If You Can Get One, Try To Get A Larger Model, Maybe Something With 4wd — Performance- acceleration feels nice, braking is awsome, and its handling is starting to need work. Build Quality- needed to replace the clutch once since I've owned it, believe it is the only new clutch it has seen since it was built in '93. Appearance- Rust is its only enemy at this point. Has racing stripes which go with the truck nice. Cost of ownership- Great gas mileage, and it is a pretty common make, so cost of parts are not that expensive. Fun Factor- Will never get rid of it!

1993 Chevrolet S-10 2 Dr Tahoe Standard Cab Sb — i love my truck its a 5 speed, with 4.3 liter v6 its handles pretty well, i gotta do a lot of work to it still cuz its a project truck, but when im done it will be awsome, so overall a good truck

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Alot Of Character On Outside. Inside Could Use Work. Overall, Great Little Truck. — The exterior has alot of character. The 2.8L V6 has alot of "Get-up and Go Power". The down side, is the control layout. It can be very difficult to find the control you're looking for, while driving. It definitly rides like a truck though. Mine is the 5 speed standard edition, and it rides like a fun old truck.

The S-dime...chevy's Little Monster. — Tough little trucks. While I owned the 2.8 V6, the 4.3 liter was also an option. If you are looking for a tough little truck that still gets great gas mileage, the S10 is near the top of the list with Toyotas minis. Although not as bullitproof as the 4.3, the 2.8 V6 still provided the small vehicle with enough get-up-and-go. You can literally beat the hell out of these trucks until they rust into the ground. And they probably will. Cab corners, rocker panels, body mounts and box sides were all vulnerable to rust and often did.

the pick up and go with the 5 speed was great!!

Cons

the body work that i had to do on the truck was hard, but i did expect it

Solid Little Funbox Truck — it was a 4.3L v6 with a 5 speed standard transmission, stainless steel duel exhost and bucket seats out of a 98 cavalier. the engine and transmission were solid and drove like a dream. Defiantly a fun little truck to drive! I must say. the only thing that I didnt like was because of the year there was a fair amount of body work that was done and needed to be done.

Classic Looks, Dependibility, Easy To Customize. Rare. — First generation S-10's have a classic body style and I fell in love with my 88 S-10 4x4 extended cab. In 2010, I found an older guy locally that had kept this STD Cab 93 4x4 in great condition and it only had 63k original miles on it! I jumped all over it, and have slowly transformed the outside of it to where it is one of a kind. Love my truck! There are 80k miles on it now, and it runs perfect.

Not Bad Overall But It Needs A Small Block V8 — hardly any highlites about performance built to last like most GM's runs great no problems not a bad looking truck if all the paint mached lol only paid 180 bucks and a junk truck for it and its been running fine for 4 months and gets about 25 mpg and good rates for insurance so its pretty cheap to own love the 5 speed but the motors lacking muscle but its not bad for torque in low gears and she gets sideways pertty easy

I Would Defiantly Buy Another One. — I dont like the dash but other than that its nice. performance wise it is a 2.5L with a 5 speed so it will go but i want a little more. I added dual exhaust because a friend had some pipe and thought it would be different so i like that. its straight piped (no cats no muffler) and comes out at 45's.Future 350 build????? idkk

Fun To Work On — Performance depends on the motor i have a crappy 2.8 so acceleration sucks but its fun in a field build quality isnt spectactular but its american built appearance needs alot of work just cause its older cost of ownership is cheap cause its american fun factor is around 7 of 10
