1993 Buick LeSabre Custom Review
ProsEngine, Ride comfort. ConsLooks, broken air con, paint job.
85
My Buick Lesabre — Overall my Buick (named Peaches by my first girlfriend) is a good car. However, i have recently lost the air con, so it's unpleasant to drive during the day, and it really needs a paint job. It rides really smoothly and everything other than the air con works like a charm. It also has a 3.8L fuel injected V6, which doesn't really mean anything in a car like this but it's something to tell my friends, and if you rev it high enough, it has a nice sound to it. I really don't like the way it looks, and it is definitely an old people car. But if you really pay attention, the front end resembles a Maserati Quattroporte. I would recomend this car to anyone who wants a comfortable ride, cheap insurance and moderatly good gas mileage.

Prosits a tank, can tow a lot, indestructible Consspedometer only goes up to 100, alternator seems to dies every 6 months or so

Its Cheap, Very Little Maintenance, Cheap Parts, Very Rugged, Lots Of Room, Not Too "cool" Looking — love this car, uts a tank, my sister drives it also and has hit basically everything imaginable, i have hit a few things also, the car has some serious cosmetic damage but still runs like a champ. she can tow a tree (18" in diameter, 20' long) through a swamp where a jeep could not, it has also towed a durango up an embankment before. i love the passenger room and trunk space, we can go on long roadtrips with 6 people and a ton of luggage. not sure what the top speed is though i know while racing my friends camero i was doing at least 115. my car is used as a construction vehicle in the summer and constantly labeled as a "granny car" by the contractors but its looks are deceptive Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

A Fullsize Commuter Car That Can Hold It's Own On The Track. — Car has shocking acceleration and braking capabilities for a car of it's size. Not fast overall, but for a FWD full size car it is above expectations. comfortable, reliable, ugly. Only complaint. Early '90's GM paint. Most of it is gone. Primary Use: Commuting to work

ProsFast 3.8L (231 ci) Buick LeSabre custom ConsRust right below the front doors & on the edge of the hood

Big Ugly Indestructable Car Killer (buick) — it takes under 6 seconds to get up to 60 from a dead stop. the braking is ok i need to bleed the brake lines. my car is very fun to drive. the metal right below the doors is rusting out on each front side. the only repair that i have had to do so far is get the alternator rebuilt. On the passenenger edge of the hood its beginning to rust. I plan on fixing it this summer. The interior is a lucious red. i use armorall on everything plastic in that car. it shines like new. Everything on that car is stock. The stereo is still the original AC-Delco. It gets about 29+ miles to the gallon on the highway. In the city it gets about 18-20. It is pretty much maintenance free. best car to drive in the world. b/c the cops really wont look at you since its a sedan and its silver. The speedometer is the sweet looking longways one that reaches across the display. it only reaches to 100 although I have gone above that hahaha :)

ProsLong lasting engine and vital parts Consnot the prettiest car to drive around

93 Buick Lasabre 4dr Custom — well, i bought the car used. i must say that the finish on it hasnt lasted for is life. however that is minor considering that it has outlasted other newer cars. i have only had to make minor repairs on it. nothing outside the usual fluid changes and break changes. i would recomend this car to anyone who enjoys low mantainance over looks.

ProsZippy, ride quality, ease of working on engine. ConsPaint chipping. (Common on older GM cars.) Couple of small problems. OBDI

Love It — First car, done quite a bit of work and repairs to it myself. High in mileage but still drives great. Decently zippy for a large car. Plenty of room for lots of people. Drives way nice. Reliable 3800 series one N/A engine with 4T60 E transmission. (Typical H-Body) 150,800 miles as of today. 4/26/2008 After market stereo, tinted windows and bra added. Fist picture was taken today (4/26/2008) second picture was taken in Jan. 2008 and third was taken in April 2006 right after I bought it. Never want to sell it.
