Pros

Its light, its fun, its RWD.  Need I say more.

Cons

Performance of a stock s13 240sx are well ok.  Nothing special and its not that fast.  Its a 2.4 inline 4 pushing 140 bhp from the factory.  Nothing to glorify.  BUT, if u want to swap engines for lets say and sr20, rb20-26, hell even ls1 engines in it, they are all possible and have been successfully done.  I personally am looking into turbo-ing the ka24de.  Wish me luck

The 240sx Is Fun And The Possibilities With It Are Endless. — Now everyone thinks that the 240sx is a car that everyone gets and then off to DRIFTING. This misconception is common and everyone believes that after watching Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift and Formula 1 Drifting and Nopi Drifting that everyone drifts. No, only professionals and experienced drivers know how to maneuver a car and keep it an uncontrollable act like drifting a controlled sport. So please, keep it on a track at a local event. Now, the 240sx is a great and fun car. The upgrades are endless and people everyday are coming up with new, fun, and performance enhancing ideas. Just go on 240sx.org, run by NICO, to get a great glimpse of what 240sx are capable of.

Cons

If you really want to drive lots of friends around in this car, forget it, those back seats are just for show.

You Can Do Lots Of Things With It, But This Car Is Made For Drifting. — So this car is an old type project car I've been working on by myself. I'm working on putting an S13 Black top SR20DET engine in it as soon as I have time. Currently I have Eibach Sports suspension on it, and a Megan Racing strut tower bar. It handles beautifully through turns now. It's a pretty quick car for acceleration and has a good torque/weight ratio. It is real fun to drive if you can drift with it being RWD. The '92 model, in my opinion, is the best looking of Nissan's 240sx model. This is a pretty low budget car for what your getting. Depending on mods the Gas mileage isn't too bad either, around 25-30 mpg.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

5 speed manual is fun to drive and gets great gas mileage

Cons

it takes premuim gas

Fun Fast Car — I bought this car from my aunt about a month ago. It has 235,000 miles on it and it is still in great condition other than a little rust under the spoiler. For a four cylinder it has alot of pep. This is definitely a reliable and fun car.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Sooo Much Fun To Meet Up With The Crew And Do Some Mountain Runs — Performance: Great acceleration with the cool air intake, stage 2 clutch aluminum flywheel, and cat back borla exhaust. stock braking is satisfactory. handles very well stock. Upgraded rim to 17" mb motorings increased traction and stiffened ride. planned on a drastic 4" eibach sportline lowering springs. Build quailty: car ran amazingly for a long time with normal scheduled maintanence. but with the kind of driving i was doing at the age of 20... blew a connecting rod out the side of the block when the main bearings seized. Appearance: stock black exterior with 17 alloys and stock looking borla exhaust. cost of ownership: paid 2800 for the car needing minor repairs. got fairly decent gas mileage if u weren't drag racing for pinks... :p... Maintained car with normal fluid changes and scheduled repairs. thing did like to eat oil a bit when you were gettin on it. Fun factor: Donuts for days lots of smoke. Big 4 banger tuner sound. Black with the sun roof is just cool by itself.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros

Sporty feel and beginner drifter

Cons

Stock suspention understeer

My 1992 240sx Fastback (180sx/rps13) — The overall body is great, though I still prefer the coupe models better. It has a ridged chassis yet sleek look to the car. The 180sx (240sx in USDM) is a ideal car for beginner drifters and has an easy understanding of its engineering. The feel of a sporty front engine-rear wheel drive car is exhilarating and the feeling can not be imitated by others cars. Though I wish the stock suspension had better performance because the front tires tend to understeer at a higher speed. The cost of this car isn't too much either. You can still but a rather good condition 240sx around $2,000. Parts are rather easy to find but like old cars, original (OEM) parts will soon be more difficult to find. The car gives you about 12-13 gallons a tank and can take you as far as 280 miles a tank. Well it did for me. In the cities it tends to suck up a little more but on average this car should give about 30 to 28 MPG and 24 to 26 MPG in cities. Overall I love this car and this is my 3rd own 240sx ans in the near future i will continue to buy/fix this car just because of it sheer fun and engineering. When you own a 240sx you will understand.

Its Worth Keeping — WWhat's not to like about a car u can do pretty Mich everything and more. This by fare is the car of racers who can't pay much but can trick out a car.ive had my car now for over 4 years now and i think in gonna past it down to my son when its time. This car is exciting to look at and build over and over again and just so many things u can do with this car. Cheap engine swaps r the best for these cars and the fact they have hundreds of these engines just waiting to b used. Turbo and none Turbo engines. If u like to build cars trust me and drift find u one of these ok?

The Cheap Man's Fr Layout Car — Amazing car, great handling and performance for a cheap car, FR layout, cant ever go wrong with that:) Easy to work on, but does develop some rust. Looks grow on you, with those sexy pop up headlights, can't take ur eyes off it.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros

The engine is amazingly powerful making the horse power to weight ratio amazing.

Cons

The paint needs to be redone however seeing that this was a project car it just hast happend.

Great Project — Breaks are a work in progress however they will be upgraded before this car gets diven to much because after about 10 min of driving tou can feel break fade. Not listing other modifications because there were alot of them alomst every part of the sespension as well as the interior have been modified to allow for this new engine to both fit and function properly. Dash board is the 350Z's which allowed us to transfer over the electrical system. Other facts about this car are unknown at this time due to the fact that it was driven for the first time sence the start of the project about a week ago.

Its A Perfect Beginners Car — It was a good car for getting back on the road and learning standard. it had the perfect amount of hp for a beginner driver and handled like a dream. Drifting was awesome in my 240 RWD is way better than FWD.

Cons

Everything else...

If You Drift- Buy A 240sx — HAHAHAHA Build quality is that of an old hyundai. Slow.... the only thing is the size of the engine compartment and it looks ok. And RWD. There are way better cars out there in the same class as a 240sx. Only good for drifting.
