Pros

The Jeep Cherokee is all around an excellent vehicle, albeit small in today's market the Cherokee is always reliable, always capable and simple

Cons

back seat and cargo room are a little lacking, but mileage is good for a 4x4 box

Love The Cherokee Xj — I love the reliability, the way it drives and simplicity, the Jeep can go anywhere at anytime and always ask for more, if something breaks a little but of duct tape, a screwdriver and maybe some pliers will fix it. I love the Cherokee's, I have had 3 and loved everyone, I am only sad that Jeep does not build something nearly as good as the old Cherokee, I will never give my Cherokee up.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Lifted Jeep Cherokee — The best parts about this truck was how much fun it was, how easy it was to work on, and how cheep and readily available parts are. I found that about $500 bucks and you can have a pretty decent off road toy.

My 1992 Jeep Cherokee — has a bunch of part replaced and is as good as new. Going to stoke it out to a 4.7 liter instead of the little 4.0 Has been in the shop very little just oil changed and some normal wear and tear. Gets around 13 or 14 mpg going to but the new throttle body for better flow for fuel and a little extra power. Has 2inch lift with 31s. All around the jeep is a great car dose very well off road and on road.

Jeep — 4.0lt straight 6 cylinder. Fun car to drive, go pretty much anywhere in it! Fully loaded, lovely, interior bit cramped in the rear Performance ok to good Fuel costs rather high, maintenance too (if you live in Europe) Electric everything!

The Best Purchase Of Vehicle I Have Ever Made. — I have always wanted a Jeep Cherokee! I got one that needed a lot of work and have put some time and money into fixing it. It currently needs a neutral safety switch, but it has ran for a little bit and it has some get up and go. I feel this has been the best purchase i have made in a long time.

Pros

Very good 4x4

Cons

multiple things breaking and shaking

35

Ok At The Best — performance was overall good but when you went over 60 mph, the whole vehicle started to shake! it has needed many repairs like the trunk wouldnt stay up alone, the front seat kept sliding back, the door kept almost falling of the hinges and that's about it. the appearance overall was exceptional. gas mileage was about 17mpg but as I said before, maintencene is quiet important with some of these vehicles. But it was very fun to drive!

Pros

Very well built truck, lots of room for hauling stuff, more than enough power to get the job done

Cons

It's a jeep, if you ever drove one, you'd know what I mean

Love It, The Xj Was My First Jeep And It's Not My Last. Really Planning On Picking Up Another One Of — Don't really have too many complaints. the heat didn't work. Damn heater core was plugged and never got around to fixing it. My biggest issue with this jeep and My YJ, the damn Dana 30's axles. I don't like the C-clip idea. I'm a little afraid of loosing the axle shaft one day. They are pretty decent up to 33's. Then you defiantly need to get some 40's or bigger Dana's under these things. Engine was a screamer, loved that inline 6.

very reliable engine and transmission.

Cons

body rust and milage

If It Was Not For Michigan Salt I Would Still Be Driving This Jeep — very reliable rickidy vehicle that will take a beating over and over. cheap and easy to fix if anything ever brakes which it's not likely to. however the body will rust out from under you. i payed 650 for it with 130,00 miles put about 150.00 into it over 4 years and traded it in with 167,000 miles.
