Pros

It was very easy for me to customize, and is rigged to the top. I drag race, off-road, and tow in it.

Cons

Some old wires are still in the truck, trying to work on that.

What Can't My Truck Do. — I am having a full paint job on it. I have a Rough Country 4 Inch lift on it, so the ride is good. No noises except its loud engine, and exhaust. I had it in my garage for about a year before I started to do anything to it. Then all summer and winter I worked on it and worked and worked. I haul with it but the gas mileage before i worked on it was about 15mpg to 19mpg after i worked on it, when not hauling I get 22. I have used Kelley's Blue Book to look up what it cost before I worked on it, that was 3,511 dollars. Now that i worked on it I have put 8,000 dollars in it. I am crazy right to put that into a 1992 truck with my 350 in it. But acceleration is perfect no hesitation I drag race with it so i need no hesitation. Braking good and handling okay I have better steering than stock. It is a Very fun truck to drive, wouldn't drive anything else.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros

Love, Love, Love this truck. Very strong and reliable.

Cons

Has a slight vibration on accel that I, nor other mechanics can't seem to locate the source of.

Workhorse — I use this truck mainly for plowing. I love the truck and it's reliability. I don't like the fact that the body panels rust so quickly though, even when I take good care of it. Other than the vibration I experience upon acceleration, the truck is wonderful. Wish I could pinpoint the cause for this vibration. Very annoying to someone as meticulous as I am.

Pros

500,000 before motor needed to be rebuilt. Currently over 692,000 and still runs great. Hauls anything you can hook up to and has the power needed for the hill country.

Cons

Original paint job from factory could have been better.
Headlights were not impressives.
Seat belt design and operation sucks

Great Truck To Buy Very Dependable — I am impressed with the amount of work this truck handles each day, even on weekends. Heading to 693,000 miles so I guess the truck is still paying dividends. You think? I have made sure to use quality SHELL oil only and maintained it otherwise as recommended. I would only give Chevrolet the thumbs up for overall quality of the truck except for the paint job.

My Keyna — I love my truck. It is a fantatic truck. I have had no issues with it. My only complaint would be gas cost. It looks great. I love bench seats so that is a plus. The interior is nicely set up and the body has a good look.

Pros

I put 4.10 gears in it to give it a little extra and I get 16-18 mpg but I think the 5 speed manual helps with that too

Cons

Manual tranny in the dunes is a little harder to use as you cannot shift going up the sand dunes but other wise its great

Had It For 18 Years Now, Still A Really Great Truck — I do not drive this in the Winter but Chevy has some issues with their rust protection because every one i see has rust around the cab corners so I need new cab corners like almost all chevy pick-ups. But it sure is not as bad as the dodge pick-ups. Still one of the Best trucks out there for your money as they are reasonably easy to work on and relatively inexpensive to fix,

Fun In The Mountains — Even though this truck is old, I do love it. It is slow, not very powerful, sucks on the highway but it is extremely reliable and really fun to drive. You can take it off road and have loads of fun camping.

Pros

Plenty of room to haul stuff.
It's a truck.
15 mpg city/ 25 hwy.

Cons

No radio, though when it had one, only one speaker worked.

It's Definitely A Good Everyday Vehicle. — 4.3L V6, 5 Speed Manual Overdrive Transmission. Really good driving truck, though the wider tires make for less traction on wet roads. It needs a new paint job, and some other small repairs. Other than that, this is a great small truck!

Mule — With over 300k miles and never been ot shop for othe than routine maintenance this has been the best vehicle I ever owned. 4.3L V6 provides just enough power to haul most of what I need and provides for 20+ mpg. This is my daily driver

Perfect Truck For Work And Play — Awesome driving truck. Poor gas mileage, but makes up for it in power delivery. Need to get somewhere in a hurry? This truck will get you there with time to spare. Great off-road handling and performance. A very well-rounded vehicle.
