i dont have money to tune it.

Sweet — fast, fun and handles well. i have an aftermarket grill and headlights which make it look sexier and it has a racing clutch, eibach suspension and 5 spd manual tranny which make it a dream to drive. aside from the cat, it runs really well for a car of it's year and mileage.

VW build quality...

Hooptie — I have a Ferrari red 1991 Volkswagen Jetta GTX 5 spd. It's pretty quick for a 2 litre. It has racy big bolster Recaro seats, aftermarket rims, sport suspension and soon to add to the list, a burbling custom exhaust.

Economical — Hello. The car has 306,000 mi. Eng. & trans. factory org. Use prem. fuel + syn. oil beginning 1,500 mi. mark. FEATURES: Strong pressure out of e-pipe. No kidding. Standard e-system of the car works perfectly. Tightly packed cylinders with newly added parts. Everything works. Garage not kept. Balto. MD!

Clean Title, Only Been Owned By One Other Person. — Good solid running car, good on gas and seat 4 people. Lots of trunk room for anything. Good size car for a audio system of any choice. Only bad thing about this car I can say is, it lacks acceleration. Amazing turning and braking. The inside is at near perfect condition. the outside has a few dents and scratches, nothing to noticable.

It still runs after the wheel bearing gave and the wheel fell off.

Manual Transmission was whack. Probably was a nice car in 1990. Mine did not come with the Recaro seats

Squishy — Ehh, did its job broke lots of plastic connectors in shifter linkage. Not sure what they were called but every time one broke I would be down to two gears, usually third and fourth.

Jettas Are Fantastic Cars. — Great 1st car. Lasted me almost 5 years. Bought it from a guy who didn't know anything about cars. He almost destroyed it, but my dad's a mechanic. It was a great car.

My Hubby Car — Very fast for what it was! He had a chip and exhaust. He drove it to the ground and then sold it to our buddy who fixed it and also drove it to the ground!

Great Car, Not Hard To Fix — These cars last into the hundreds of thousands of miles, but parts will need replacement. Most of the things are easily fixed, but other, more major ones must be taken to a dealer unless you are very experienced or have the right tools. There's tons of information online easily available to do modifications and repairs.
