Perfect For Getting You In And Out...not Towing Vehicle. — The absoloute perfect bush buggy. Rock solid from the ground up making for easy maintenance and repair. You cannot kill this motor and the DT is unmatched. 4X4 is tough and low is low...the way it should be. A lot of people complain about the power but it's not geared for highway use/towing/muddin like todays "crossovers"...it's geared as a bush truck...power where needed and not where it's not. Fuel mileage sucks...that's a kicker when playin in the bush far away from gas stations!

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros

Quality, reliability and comfort.

Cons

Expensive to buy and very underpowered

45

Great Suv! — Great build quality, very comfortable but VERY underpowered. That gas milage wasnt very good though (about 14 mpg) and 4Runners are expensive to buy. They also have great resale value, so while you pay more when you buy them, you will also get more when you trade it in.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Cons

repair expenses

Love It — i love that my runner has 38" tires, coil spring suspension, arb airlockers front and rear, 4 extra headlights (HELLA) 4 work lights around the Car and a search light on top, the inside is loaded with cb and vhf radio, gps positioning system connectet to a laptop, good soundsystem , under the car i have a 3" exhaust system and extra fuel tank (enough fuel for 3 day off road trip in snow) only bad thing is it costs a little too keep it always running (stuff breaks down you know) but the fun factor is an A+

Awesome. Took Me Over Rubicon 5 Times, Baja, Canada You Name It. — This was my first Toyota Truck purchase and the wheeling bug hit me hard on this one. Spent more money than I would like to admit on it: Sold it with 155,000 miles, I owned it since 48k miles. General: SR5 model, manual windows (except power tailgate window), A/C, Cruise Control, 5spd Engine: 3.0 V6 Head Gasket Recall Done at about 60k Within last 15k: DOA Heads with DOA cams DOA Throttle Body Downey Headers with 2.5” exhaust using High-flow cat and Turbo Muffler Runs very strong, with much more power than stock. For those that say you can't get power out of the 3.0...bunk. Drivetrain: Transfer case: Marlin Crawler 4.7 Gears: Precision 4.88’s Lockers: ARB’s F&R (powered by Powertank, included) SS front line Axles: F: 85 Toyota with IFS calipers and vented FJ40 Rotors. 1.5” bolt on spacers R: Stock w/ ¾” All Pro spacers with extended lug studs AR767 Steel Wheels with 3.5” offset 35” MT/R\’s with 75% tread left Suspension: Front: AllPro Solid Axle Swap Kit w/4” lift springs (1 leaf removed/very flexy) All Pro Hy-Steer with FJ80 rod ends (no interference), Bilstein 5100\’s 255/70 valving, 12” travel Rear: AllPro extended Upper Control Arms with Heim Joints AllPro extended lower control Arms with Johnny Joints AllPro Pan Hard Rod lift bracket OME 2” lift springs AllPro 2.5” coil spring spacers Rancho 9008\’s Exterior: Front bumper: Custom Hanson Low profile Rubicon bumper Rear Bumper: Custom Hanson Low Profile bumper with Tire Swingout (fits 35” tire), Jerry Can holder, Hi-Lift Jack mount (on tailgate side), spotlight mount, hitch mount. Rock Sliders: All Pro Sliders modified by Hanson to be bolt on using theaded plates welded on frame and much stronger than stock. Can easily support weight of truck. Interior: Q-form front speaker enclosures with Infinity Kappa Series seperates Infinity Bass-Link rear 8” removeable self powered sub-enclosure Sony head unit Sony x-over Sony 4 channel amp for front Delphi XM Satellite Radio Unit Other: Full Rock-Light setup under truck, CB and spare Birfield and longside front axle shaft included. Sold it to a member of 4Dice off road club. It was reported stolen in the fall of 07. If I see one of the custom bumpers I know it came off this truck as they were the only one's.

251xxx Miles And Still Going Strong! — I own a 913 v6 4x4 5 speed runner and this thing is my baby! I never broke down requires little maintenance and is actually an eye catcher. I bought it stock and added a lift and 33" tires and this truck is a keeper. Only problem I have ever had was at 250xxx I needed to replace the o2 sensor but that's all! Highly recommend this truck!

My First Car... Need I Say More? You Always Have A Special Spot In Your Heart For Your First Car. — This was my first car. I loved it! It was great for camping and drive in movies. The tranny went bad in the first month but the dealer was helpful and got me a new one for cheap. Other then that, just changed the oil and it ran beautifully.

My Toyota 4runner — I love my car. Got it four years ago to use for moving rubbish bins to the local tip when I was in charge of a Scout Camp but then got the 4WDing bug and now wont get rid of it because all the new cars aren't strong enough to take them truly off road. I am in my 50's so I started 4WDing late and am now hooked. I have had a two inch body lift put in and a winch mount bull bar added. All I need now is the money to buy the winch. I only wish they still were avaiable in Australia.
