Pros

Handling, looks, fuel economy

Cons

Lack of power.

Give Me The Jdm Motor — The biggest minus to this car is that it didn't come with the same engine that Japan and the rest of the world gets. The feeling was that Americans prefer naturally aspirated motors. Such a shame. With that motor, this car would be a Japanese Mustang. Cheap power and rear wheel drive. But the handing is arguably better.

I need new wheels and footwork.

Ls1 Powered 240sx — Handles aight but needs some footwork to suit my standards. The LS1 takes care of the power business. Gas mileage with the V8 isn't super duper but it doesn't matter becuase the car is soooo much fun to drive. Basically a turn the key and go performance car, no BSing around like some others i know....

Best Bang For Your Buck — 1991 Nissan 240 Sx, one of the best cars I've have ever owned, KA24de stock with the exception of a cold air intake but still a blast to drive with the right amount of hp/tq. This car never gave me any problems what so ever. It was a sad day when i sold it, I still miss it to this date :(.

Pros

Inexpensive; Parts Relatively Available; Stylish; Variety of Ways To Approach Tuning; Overall Great Car To Drive....

Cons

Minor Things That Nissan Decided To Change From The Original 180SX FB (Or Silvia - Coupe)....  Engine Should've Been A SR20DET Powered, Minor Stuff Like The Rear Hatch Being Weak....

35

Potential Drift S-chassis — The 240SX (180SX) has become the new Civic... All across the States, the s13 (Coupe or Hatchbach A.K.A. Fastback) has become more popular due to the growing interest of Drifting.... The among all the s-chassis cars, this car has seems to be the most popular due to the low cost. The stock KA24E (88-90)KA24DE (91-93) engines are equiped in this but most people are more interested in the other engine swaps such as the CA18DET, SR20DET, RB Skyline; 2JZ; & even the F20C (s2K) engines. It has the potential to be anything you want from GO; Show; Both; Or even V.I.P. Whatever you choose... Choose it to your setting... Don't change your driving style to the car but the car to your style. Suspension work, I believe, is the greatest modification that should be focused on but that's just what I believe in... Others might want more power or make the look of the car more presentable to the 2008+ years.... Any Questions? Send me a PM; Email; or IM... Peace out! v(^_^)v

Pros

Excellent handling, low cost, good on gas, very reliable, easy to fix, etc etc.

Cons

Could stand to have a bit more power, mostly for driving on the freeway. This is with the stock KA24E.

Excellente! — I really enjoy taking this car into the mountains (in dry weather). Excellent handling, more than fast enough for winding roads, very reliable, and "fun" to work on, since things don't break very often, despite age (18 years). Fantastic handling. I do not drift, and have zero interest in drifting. I have not found many times where a more powerful engine would help in the mountains on more "technical" roads, but a little bit of tuning up should make it pick up a bit more quickly, and breathe easier at altitude (sea level to 4,000 or 8,000ft in a day). Second KA24E I've had (Nissan hardbody previously). Both don't pick up at all above 3,000ft ASL, with only intake and exhaust modifications. This car works best in quick, winding roads.

Cons

Rear wheel drive, it sucked in the snow.

Really Fun Car — I got this car from my brother who was getting rid of it because he was getting another vehicle. I loved driving this car fast. 5 speed and easy to work on.

Pros

Great gas mileage for being a sports car. 35+mpg at cruising speed.
Pretty fast for a 4 cylinder,  sounded excellent. Looked great as well. Kind of a rare find around these parts.

Cons

Parts are kind of hard to come by when something breaks down. Electrical problems from time to time that plague all of the 240sx 3rd generation cars. Speed limiter in 5th gear is 115 mph, but you can run 4th gear to near redline *6500 rpm* and squeeze around 135 - 140 mph out of it.

Sporty Import Car, Good For Economy And Plenty Of Fun. — Bought dirt cheap from a friend of a friend from work. Came with a manual transmission, rebuilt 2.4 inline 4, aftermarket intake, header, 2 3/4 inch exhaust back to the muffler. 16 inch aftermarket wheels ...etc. Had a removable sunroof. Excellent seats.

1991 Nissan 240sx Fast Back Ka24de — Great car in stock form and when modified the greatness is overwhelmingly better...decent gas mileage too and all wrapped up in a rear wheel drive package to boot

I Loved This Car, It Was A Blast To Drive. — This car has great characteristics. It's cheap so crashing it doesn't matter which makes getting those rears out all the more fun.
