Pros

No major problems yet. Runs well, looks very good after all these years. Has served us well.

Cons

Cramped interior & rides like an old Mack truck.

Been In Our Family Since New. — This car was bought new by my wife's brother. He gave it to our daughter in 2003. She used it until 2009 when she gave it to her younger brother who is now the primary driver. I don't drive it or ride in it too often, it is hard on my old body. It has had one repaint in the original color, one new top, & the cloth interior has been redone in black leather. The drivetrain has only had routine maintanence. It currently has 130000 miles. The steering rack is starting to get some play in it & the valve cover gaskets are leaking. Overall has been a very good car.

Great Car, Needs Work — I love this car. Fast car great acceleration. Braking could be better. I got it used and very worn out It's getting better as time goes. Exterior is great even after paint job. Interior is clean. Cost of ownership isn't much it takes about 20MPG which isn't bad for a V8. This car is great to drive nothing like stepping on the gas and feeling the power of the 5.0.

Big On Motor, Small On Price — For what I paid for the car, it is definately one of the best "bang for the buck" cars you can get. But that has always been the story of the 5.0s. And with the age of the cars, the aftermarket industry has all but perfected performance and stylish add-ons for the beloved fox body. My 1991 Mustang GT is the pride of my garage, a joy to drive, and a car that I will keep for a very long time.

Pros

Nice speed, a cool look and a reasonable price for a collector car with low mileage. I bought it with 37,500 original, documented miles.

Cons

I honestly have nothing negative to say about her. I owned one back in the mid 1990's and missed it so much that I finally found another almost identical.

Addicting — I just love the speed and handling she has. I love the fact that it is very easy to work on when the time comes. My last one I had 165K miles on it when I sold it. The day I sold it she still ran awesome! Also had the original clutch believe it or not. I think the only thing in the engine bay I had to replace was the radiator and water pump. Good motor!

Family Fun — I bought this car from the daughter of the original owner in may of 2010. It had lived in Atlanta Georia all of its life, passed down and driven/enjoyed. I brought it home and cleaned it up, polished the single-stage original paint, and started enjoying it. I have since added the cobra wheels and we take a ride with the top down any time the weather allows.

A Little Monster — I've had this car for many years. Started out as a 5.0 automatic and is now a 393 5 speed. Just couldn't leave it alone. The car is totally resto-modded to far beyond new condition. It's just a weekend driver when you need a surge of adrenaline! Really no practical value but it sure is fun.

1991 5.0 Lx — Performance: Acceleration and handling were great. Brakes could be better. Build Quality: Owned the car for 45,000 miles, no major repairs. Appearance: I really loved it. Cost of Ownership: Tires were not cheap, but that was mostly my fault, not the cars..lol Gas mileage was very good for that type of car. Fun Factor: Very fun. Great acceleration, awesome V8 sound.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)
