Slow!!

4 Banger Stang — The four banger is too slow! That being said everything else about the car is fantasic. Handling is amazing, and overall the car has been real good to me maintaince wise. the 2.3 is a bullet proof engine and the AOD tranny behind it will hold up to the engine's 100 horse.

No major problems yet. Runs well, looks very good after all these years. Has served us well.

Cramped interior & rides like an old Mack truck.

Been In Our Family Since New. — This car was bought new by my wife's brother. He gave it to our daughter in 2003. She used it until 2009 when she gave it to her younger brother who is now the primary driver. I don't drive it or ride in it too often, it is hard on my old body. It has had one repaint in the original color, one new top, & the cloth interior has been redone in black leather. The drivetrain has only had routine maintanence. It currently has 130000 miles. The steering rack is starting to get some play in it & the valve cover gaskets are leaking. Overall has been a very good car.

Pros

Sound, performance, thrill to drive

Cons

Uses too much gas and tires...I blame my right foot

Big On Motor, Small On Price — For what I paid for the car, it is definately one of the best "bang for the buck" cars you can get. But that has always been the story of the 5.0s. And with the age of the cars, the aftermarket industry has all but perfected performance and stylish add-ons for the beloved fox body. My 1991 Mustang GT is the pride of my garage, a joy to drive, and a car that I will keep for a very long time.

It's Still Mostly Stock — bought this car as a 4 cylinder auto car. converted it to a 5 speed, soon to come, 8.8inch rear end, gt brakes, subframe connectors and sway bars, followed by my engine swap.

Pros

good power, fun, and easy to maintain

Cons

some cheap parts, mostly interior that cause inside quality to be low

5.0 Mustang — Kind of an ugly mustang styling, but this is from a guy who still loves the 68-73 years of Mustang Muscle. A nice little car with enough power to go Rice Burner Stomping at night and still drive during the day. a good car, but certainly not a luxury vehicle. some parts are made very cheap on it and wear out easily. other than that this was a good solid vehicle.

Pros

Ownage

Cons

None

Ownage — I like it, I love it, I want some more of it. Performance Acceleration-It's a 5.0. The acceleration is great. Braking-Great Handling-Great Build Quality Great, hasn't needed any major repairs. Appearance Interior-Cloth, I like it more than leather. Exterior-Small rust spots. Not really noticeable, but I'd like to fix them. Cost of Ownership The worst thing about it is the insurance. Fun Factor What do you think? Of course it's fun to drive.

Cons

Rear Drum Brakes, Stiff Suspension,

Great Car, Needs Work — I love this car. Fast car great acceleration. Braking could be better. I got it used and very worn out It's getting better as time goes. Exterior is great even after paint job. Interior is clean. Cost of ownership isn't much it takes about 20MPG which isn't bad for a V8. This car is great to drive nothing like stepping on the gas and feeling the power of the 5.0.

Pros

Nice speed, a cool look and a reasonable price for a collector car with low mileage. I bought it with 37,500 original, documented miles.

Cons

I honestly have nothing negative to say about her. I owned one back in the mid 1990's and missed it so much that I finally found another almost identical.

Addicting — I just love the speed and handling she has. I love the fact that it is very easy to work on when the time comes. My last one I had 165K miles on it when I sold it. The day I sold it she still ran awesome! Also had the original clutch believe it or not. I think the only thing in the engine bay I had to replace was the radiator and water pump. Good motor!
