Pros

Solid performance, great aftermarket support, easy to work on

Cons

Stock 5-speed tranny isn't the best, rear drum brakes, four lug bolt pattern

1990 Ford Mustang Lx 5.0l — Love this car, long live the five oh! Great styling inside and out. Solid performance, very enjoyable to drive. While the car is getting dated in performance it's very upgradeable with strong aftermarket support and it's easy to work on. These cars are getting rare where I live so it's nice to have a Mustang everyone else doesn't have. I will never get rid of this car.

Pros

Accerlation

Cons

Poor weight distribution, weak chassis made weaker by decades of being beat on.

Great Example Of How Good Domestic V8s Can Be But Also A Great Example Of Crappy American Chassis — Quick acceleration but with the 55/45 F/R it understeered too much for corners and then when the rear shocks went out the handling got even worse. The T5 transmissions are weak, even the World Classes. I've got through 2 of them in just a couple years and I had a stock 5.0 with pulleys, custom (I guess you can call it that) AC delete, Air pump delete, and the only vacuum line left was the one going to the brake booster. Factory suspension is so high it literally looks like it has a lift kit so that was unappealing. I wanted to set the engine back 8-10" with a custom firewall, double wishbone front suspension with a decoupled torque arm rear suspension, Saleen air dam and side skirts with GT rear bumper cover and Cobra wing. And paint it with the Panda Tureno type paint job since the AE86 (Levin) and Foxbody Mustang share a lot in appearance.

Perfect — My Mustang was one of the best cars I have ever drove. Had all kinds of power, got good fuel mileage, and was an absolute blast to drive. Looked great and sounded even better. I hope to have another one some day.

Pros

Gorgeous, and fun to drive

Cons

Slow, kind of bare bones on the interior

35

2.slow But Who Cares? — This is my girl. A quality vehicle with a surprisingly comfy interior. The 4 banger is slow, but gets good mpg and is a great platform to build off of, let it be a motor swap or boost. So far I haven't had any problems, but I'm gonna be safe nad replace the brake pads because I can feel em going, and changing the tranny to 5 speed before this one blows.

Pros

fast and cheap, love the look on the guys drivin 40k cars when i go by and you cant break them

Cons

stock gearing is way too high. by math itll do over 200mph with a long enough straight and enough power, where you gonna do that?a rear gear change is a must, still way more top end than youll ever need and lots more power all the way there. could also use some suspension upgrades to corner better but good tires do wonders

Pros

The Feel for the Power and how light the car is.

Cons

Gas mileage.

Love It, But Need Money To Afford The Gas In It. — I love the handling, throttle response, the fact that its a stick and not automatic, the gas mileage is ok, and the joy of cruising with the top down. The 5.0 is great for power in every gear. So, I love it.

Best Car Ever — Fox Mustang = best car ever. Easy to work on, cheap to upgrade, looks good from every angle. One of the last cars from the time when owning a fast car meant knowing how to drive a fast car. I love it.

Its a Mustang.

Cons

TINY ENGINE BAY!!!

I Love The Fox Bodies! — Great handling, plenty of top end and surprising acceleration despite being a AOD. Needed some TLC when I got it, but still very pleased with it. Very fun to drive and not to, to bad on the wallet in gas.
