Too Fast For Your Own Good — Whats to say? Built in my garage, everything has been updated or changed out. Damn quick, rides like its on rails. Needs paintwork desperately. Soon to come in the future, once finances allow it, for now its a garage queen.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Fox Convertible — I love driving this car in the summer. It handles great, has good acceleration because it is a five speed, and looks good with the top down. It is also surprisingly good on gas. All in all I love this car.

Pure Bliss — I was a big Miami Vice fan back in 89 so I set out to find an all white Mustang GT since I couldn't afford a white Testarossa. When this baby was brand new there weren't too many cars that could keep up. Back then the only real competition was the Corvette, Camaro IROC 5.7, and the Grand National.

Great Looks, Everything Else Not Great. — I love the look and sound of the car, and it runs like it is brand new. Other than the few bugs I mentioned it is a great driver. But like every older mustang I have ever seen anyone own, there is always something to fix or tune up.

endless posssibility for a very fast track or street car

Cons

Blue Stang — Get some after market suspension parts right out of the gate. I did a Kenny Brown set up(panhard bar,sub-frame contectors, koni race shocks, race springs, maxmotorsport caster camber plates, solid bushings) this help tighten up the car. 302 is fast but could be faster, letting it breath is the easiest way to do this( BBK headers, remove cat's, 2-1/2 pipe all the way out, mass air swap out). Love the Fox Body tuff looking car. Loved this car out on the track and as a kick butt street car just go play around in. Build a motor (331 stroker would be my choice) and this car would be well on it way to rippin. I miss my Blue Stang. Someday I would like to get my hands on another one, and finish what I started. Make it fast, and stick to the ground!

Amazing Cruising Convertible — I defiantly love this car. It has a very strong 5.0L V8 engine that gets great mileage and sounds awesome at full throttle. Never needed a repair. Typical Pony Car body lines. in my opinion it has the perfect ride, steering, performance and "feel" to be one of the best muscle car cruising convertibles.

Pros

I just bought this 24 year old car from original owner with 160,000 miles.  Maintained by dealer all these years from a lady who bought it new and sold it to me. Except for faded back seat due to the sun, this car looks and drives like new.  2.3 litre 4 cylinder good enough for me. I did put in a new CD stereo though.  My mechanic checked it out and said I was a lucky Baby Boomer.  Bright red and a real head turner.  I paid $1,500 for it and everything had been gone through: Interior like new, battery, clutch, engine tuned up, wiper blades new, heater core new!
5 speed manual trans.

Cons

I don't know if I would have picked an automatic version. When the trans goes, time to throw away the car. So I like the stick shift, cheap to replace.

This 1989 Ford Mustang 3rd Generation Is Great ! — The bright Red paint job is remarkable. Glitters like it is brand new. Good mileage. Buying a used car for $1,500 that is shiny Red and runs like it is brand new is a rare find. Almost as good at the 1957 Ford Thunderbird I owned when I was 16 in 1962. I paid $700 for that one. I would like to have both now ! But, I got a new Red 1989, 3rd generation LX model! I am retired now and just cruise in my Mustang.

5.0 Mustang — performance- with a few add ons this car was a beast lots of torqe and hp they have tons of aftermarket parts for this car. build quality- its decent aslong as you dont have a AOD tranny youll be fine with just checkin your belts and oil change oo and i did have to replace the oil pump about 2 times other then that it was great. appearance- i loved how the car sits and looks what can you say its a classic notch. cost of ownership- gas mileage was terrible but what do you expect from a 5.0 fun factor- fast, lightweight, looks great ,easy to fix
