I Primarily Use This Vehicle For Everything — This truck has been my constant daily driver for 6 years now. It, for the most part, gives me no problems. it just goes where I want it to. Right now, 12/12/2010, The odometer has 416,167 miles on it. I drove it 140 miles last night. No problems what so ever. WHAT MORE DOES A PERSON NEED?

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros

all round great truck

Cons

could have a bit more power

Chevrolet C1500 — this was a great truck. It pretty much towed a trailer of one kind or another for its whole life.Got rid of it with 300000 on the clock cause ontario winters were getting the best of it.This truck averaged 17 mpg rarely broke down.(one fuel pump, one transmission(probably due to all the towing),one ignition module). The rest just regular maintenance. If it wasnt for the ontario road salt causing it to rot away I would have kept it forever. It still rode and drove good when I got rid of it.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros

Great Riding, Great Handling, Pretty Good Power, Good On Gas, Very Good Truck

Cons

Brakes could be a lot better, needs disc brakes in the back

55

I Love This Thing — Has decent power stock, but definately needs a cam and vortec heads to open it up, handles quite well for a full size truck, build quality is good, normal mantienance is all it needs, gets good gas mileage as well even with a 350.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros

proven to be diehard , eays to work on, 5.7liter is heavily backed with tons of aftermarket hop up parts

Cons

terrible turning radius, usually very high mileage due to age

A Solid Work Or Camp Truck If Well Kept Over The Years — terrible on gas and underpowered 5.7liter v8 . loads of torque for hauling but thats where the fun stops. don't expect to win any races chevy built this thing as a work truck in my opinion and that it does well.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros

305- desent fuel mileage

Cons

Short on power

Good Solid Truck — 405000km and not a rattle or squeek anywhere. First 19 yeasr this truck belonged to a constuction company and had a plow on it. Lack of TLC but a testament to Chevy's build quality.

Pros

This truck has simply been a good, reliable truck. It's not fancy but it's good for what I need it for.

Cons

Gas mileage sucks. Other minor problems as well. But mainly, gas mileage. If gas didn't cost 3.50 a gallon it wouldn't be that big of a deal.

Reliable Old Truck. — Ummm....it's a truck. I do truck stuff with it. I've hauled junk, pulled people, off-roaded it, but it's never been stuck. Mostly 'cause I've never done anything in it stupid enough to get stuck.

Great Truck — It has wonderful power, and good handling. It has wonderful build quality, american built. It has a sleek exterior. The gas mileage is horrible, but on the other hand it is an older truck. And I find it fun to drive because it sounds like a train.
