1987 Pontiac Trans Am — Well theres a lot that I've done to this car but I''ll just list the main things: new motor- had a 305 tpi/ now has LT5 tpi new A-arms and springs Eibach and Hotchkis Flowmaster cat-back exhaust T-tops ans much more these are really cheap compared to a GTO or a mustang and they make great import eaters if you get one with a V-8. They are a BLAST to drive. most of the ones you'll find willl have been neglected so some repairs are madatory if you buy this kind of vehical. (also note: camaros of this body style type (F-body) most parts are interchangeable with their firebird counterparts) it has 105 thousand milies on the body on 20 thounsand on the motor if I remember right, and let me just say, wow! Over all I think I've spent 7k on restoring it, new motor, upgraded parts ect. their gas millage is between 16 and 22 mpg depending on how you drive ;P all in all if you want cheap American muscle this is the way to go!

Gta - Great Cornering And Launch Off The Line — I had the GTA Trans Am with the 350 Tuned Port Injection. I added headers, better exhaust, a super chip and stiffer anti-sway bars. As a late 80's American car, only the Stock Vette and Grand National were real threats. This baby really ruled the road for its day. It would be a great car to drop a LS3 into today.

Pros

its good to have an older car as a hobby and work on it and make it like you want it. you can make em go as fast as you want and make them look as good as you want.

Cons

when you buy an older car, you have to look into the repairs. the older it is, the more likely you will be repacing components on it because of their age and ware.

Sports Car — this car is good and dependable as long as you take care of it. its just like any other vehical, except the older car need more attention and work. mine has been taken care of for the most part, so its not that bad to keep up. but the worst thing to do is to let one sit up for a couple years.

I Love This Car, Just Wish There Was More Of An After Market, And Parts In General — I love my car. It gets 28mpg on the highway, and hasn't been a problem at all. Main complaint is the rear spoiler. Next complaint is its hard to find parts. I love driving this car, very quick, stops on a dime, and no one believes its as old as it is!
