1987 A Flashback To The Best Decade — Worst milage in the world but at least you ain't drivin a china mobile. Rear wheel drive and a big ol' V8 make it mega fun to drive. And it is American so when it breaks down you just need the old hammer to get it runnin again!

Pros

GTA, 350 Tuned Port Injection, Sticky Low Profile Tires, Cornering, Top Speed, Traction and Great Launch off the line

Cons

Needs a bigger camshaft and better flowing exhaust

Gta - Great Cornering And Launch Off The Line — I had the GTA Trans Am with the 350 Tuned Port Injection. I added headers, better exhaust, a super chip and stiffer anti-sway bars. As a late 80's American car, only the Stock Vette and Grand National were real threats. This baby really ruled the road for its day. It would be a great car to drop a LS3 into today.

American Muscle — I bought in 2006 and I worked on it until 2008. I swapped the engine from a 305 to a 350 and added edelbrock performance parts (cam, manifold, and carb) to it with hooker headers. I also repainted her black with silver ground effects and decals. The exhaust is custom from front to back.

Pros

The interior and exterior of the car

Cons

Headlights motors. But it isn't a hard to fix.

Great Looking Car. Unique Color And Unique Name Gta — Performance is so so. Only a little over 200 horsepower. Appearance is great. Gets a lot of looks. Need some body work and interior work. Has a couple of dents in the passenger side fender. Could use a new paint job and new seat covers and new carpet. Then she would be a looker. Not that the car isn't that way now.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros

its good to have an older car as a hobby and work on it and make it like you want it. you can make em go as fast as you want and make them look as good as you want.

Cons

when you buy an older car, you have to look into the repairs. the older it is, the more likely you will be repacing components on it because of their age and ware.

25

Sports Car — this car is good and dependable as long as you take care of it. its just like any other vehical, except the older car need more attention and work. mine has been taken care of for the most part, so its not that bad to keep up. but the worst thing to do is to let one sit up for a couple years.

I Love This Car, Just Wish There Was More Of An After Market, And Parts In General — I love my car. It gets 28mpg on the highway, and hasn't been a problem at all. Main complaint is the rear spoiler. Next complaint is its hard to find parts. I love driving this car, very quick, stops on a dime, and no one believes its as old as it is!

You may want to look good in a car but in my eyes all you need is the sound and you cant beat a V8 for sound quality because it just rumbles, slowly ticking over waiting to eat you up with sound. Read More
