ProsHandles great, T-tops, great looking Consmost are beat to hell now

Great Car, Highly Recommend — Great first car...great platform to build on. Handled like it was on rails. Anemic motor/rearend. Factory motors are horrible, but throw an LSX in, it'd be great. The tranny's arent bad (T-5 or 700R4) but a T56 would be my choice. Build quality is typical 80s GM with rattles and whatnot but not much you can do about that...overall a great car with huge aftermarket support plus they look fantastic. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) |

Good Car — a good car that runs good but does not have the size engine i want. i have used this car as an everday drive, and it is very dependable. The car is wired for a large sound system in the hatchback. Primary Use: Commuting to work |

L98 V8 Ruled That Year. — I only had the 1987 IROC for a little over a year,I opted to buy one with the L98 engine package and at that time it was a great deal of money. So I finally had to sell it because I could not afford the car payments and the insurance both.I was only 19 years old at the time so the insurance companies had alot of fun charging me around $2000.00 a year for coverage. But I loved that car.The L98 5.7 Lit. TPI. produced 225BHP@4400 and 330 ftlb of torque@2800. In other words when you kicked it HOLD ON. There were many other engine opions that year for the IROC but the L98 was the fastest of the bunch. The LB9 was only 215HP,and came with the 5.0lit 305ci engine. And you could go all the way down to the LG2 5.0lit 305ci with 170HP with the 4bbl or 190HP with TPI. This was a car that I still regret not keeping. If your a lucky enough to get one in good condidtion hold on to it.With a little work and some after market performance parts you can get 350-400 HP and really have some fun. Owner for 1 years, 2 months Miles Driven per Year:6,500 |

If Going With A 3rd Gen Camaro, The Iroc-z Is The Way To Go. — 3rd Gen Camaro's are a great ride with a few quirks. the overall handling is fantastic, and when running a stage 2 Hypertech chip instead of the factory chip (computer located under passenger side dash... easily accessed by laying upside down head on floor) you can get good pwr increase and good economy even with a 350 w/ cam. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) |

ProsThis car is so fun to drive, it would keep up with 05-09 mustang gts and kick the crap out of foxbodies ConsIt needs a lot of work and money put into it.

Third Gen F-body That Rules The Road In Primer Grey — 0-60 in less that 5 seconds, built like a chevy, still needed a lot of body work, it was pretty cheap until it need a new motor, but is was an awsome drive. It drove so easy and had gobs of torque, and I meen gobs! Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) |

Iroc Your World — nice looking and nice performance car. Be sure to be know all around you. Corvette's engine is full of torque and sound. Burning tire is the way to go. But gaz is very expensive with that muscle car and be sure to own a second car ( to use in the winter or longer ride ) and of course this is old, so it's a lot of repair Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) |
