1985 Volkswagen Quantum Base Wagon Review
Wagon, useful. could eat lunch in the rain sitting on the rear hootch.
Damsel in distress needed a stainless steel fuel hose to the tune of $125. Bondoed up all the holes and with some contact paper made it into a "woody wagon". unique. Worked pretty good except it overheated...a lot.
Damsel In Distress. — Loved the power steering, that I'd never known before- Everything seemed to work, except the air conditioning. Rusted the brakes were and hammers were needed just to free up the rust. Thankfully, the clutch was still okay. Just needed a little TLC as the prior owner did not give a cuss about the minor problems and rolled it along. Sad to have to give it away when we moved BACK to California.
