ProsAmazing power and reliability ConsGAS

1983 Lifted Bonco — Performance- It has ford racing crate 351 so it has plenty of acceleration and torque. What's nice is that even though the engine develops lots of torque, it can still wind out to about 6800. Braking can get kinda dicey with a truck like this. the steering already has some wear but because it's lifted it just wanders all over the place when you hit the brakes. Build Quality- FORD: we all know the fix or repair daily and I won't deny it. However, even though it squeeks, rattles, and is by no means one for creature comforts, it has NEVER stranded me.

To Bad There Gone — My bronco was in need of a new engine but it lasted me amazingly well for the year that i had it b4 i went to the navy i was impressed at fuel economy in a full size SUV such as that i was getting some where around 16 mpg wich is quite impressive for somthing like that to have a 351 v8 |

ProsOne of the best vehicles ever to get you through the mud ConsPoor fuel economy

Excellent For Hunting And Fishing — I've owned this truck from the git go...almost 30 years now. It's had more than one engine, the most recent 302 added last year from a 2005 Ford truck with 27,878 miles on it. What more can I say. Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.) |

Fun Tough And Gets Me Places Most Ppl Wouldnt Think Of Going — Performance - not crazy fast but lots of torque spins 40's with out a problem Build Quality - very strong truck cant kill it Appearance - dont look like much but its a mud truck so idc Cost of Ownership - bought cheap, dont break down, so im happy Fun Factor - lots of fun goes through most terrain of what i put her throu Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) |

ProsFour Wheel Drive, and not many are left ConsGas mileage

It's Alright I Get A Lot Of Compliments On It. — I like this SUV a lot it has the right amount of power and a short wheel base. Gas mileage could be better than what it gets now. Interior needs redone, such as carpet. And needs new paint. I hope to have this vehicle for a long time. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) |

ProsReliability, good amount of torque, handles well off-road Cons25 years + is a lot of wear and tear. Gas Mileage isn;t up to today's standards

The Bronco — Performance - Asside from poor accelartion, this thing can climb a tree and is very reliable off-road. Build Quality - being 25 years + means there are definitely repairs to be made, but nothing super expensive. My only expensive items are parts I've destroyed doing something stupid. Appearance - This is my favorite body style, something about the chrome trim and the look of the truck just give it a natural aggresive look. Interior is pretty basic. i'm not much into lavish styles though. This is an off-road vehicle and i intend to get some mud inside and out. Cost of Ownership - Gas mileage is actually not bad with the 300 6cyl. Maintenance is always tedious, 4x4s require alot of greasing and suspesion work. Its not bad if you do it all yourself. Fun Factor - Vehicle of my Dreams, I really never want to go with another SUV since i love this one so much. Definitely a fun vehicle in the snow, rain, and dirt. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)
