1979 Chevrolet Corvette Overview
Overall User Score
Based on 21 reviews
The 1979 Chevrolet Corvette was the top-selling Corvette of all time, with 53,807 cars sold. It remained largely unchanged from the 1978 model, with the exception of the disappearance of the "25th Anniversary" markers from the '78s and the change in emblem. A new rear spoiler originally limited to the 1978 Pace Car Replica was available.
The base engine was the 350-ci small block V8, rated at 195 horsepower. The L82 option bumped the horses up to 225.
