A Piece Of Art & Car History — Right…..the story of "Honey Brown", my 1974 Dodge Charger, where do I begin? I’ll start at the beginning; this will help you understand why it’s hard for me to part with it. When I was 12 years old my brother was going away to college and my parents bought him a 1971 Black on Black Leather Charger with Cragar Rims, Slick 50 Mag Tires, “The Works” my jaw dropped and I told him to take care of this car so I could have it…of course a year later he crashed it in a ditch and I never saw it again. I promised myself that one day I would by my own…On September 7, 2004 I won her on eBay from Cocoa Beach Florida.

Best Car To Own Frm The 70's Era — have a few engine probs, when old engines (like the one thats in it) made by mopar get some miles, they smoke like a freight train. shes got a 440 mag stroked to 500, and handles like a 57 chevy because its so heavy. she gets about 8 1/2 miles to the gallon, so she dont hit the road very often.

74 Dodge Charger Se — Very fun to drive. Nice loud and powerful 440. With the Brogham Edition interior in the SE model, it has power windows, AM/FM, factory sunroof, center console w/ a 727 automatic transmission. Yes, filling up a 20 gallon tank gets expensive, but you get a lot of joy out of each gallon. I've had this car for over 12 years now, and I don't know if I could ever part with it.

Pros

Only has a 318 so it gets good mileage for a big car. Has tons of leg room. You look cool driving it.

Cons

Rust, am radio, and it only has a 318.

The Best Generation Of Dodge Charger — My 16th birthday present. It is currently not running as the stupid external voltage regular crapped out and fried the battery and alternator. Will get it running again someday.

Great Car.wish I Still Had It. — Didn't have a ton of power with a 318 and a/c but it was decent.Handled great with 60 series tires on the rear and 70s on the front.Air shocks got the rear up.Hedman headers ,Thrush glass packs, and a true dual exhaust made it sound awesome, especially once the packs burned out.Traded it for a 84 Shelby Charger in 84.

They Definitely Don't Make Them Like This Anymore! — I was asked to take a drive in a friends 1974 Dodge Charger. This car was incredible. He has all sorts of modifications that he's added over the year. It literally feels like a rocket ship taking off when he floors it off the line. I absolutely love how it drove and can't wait for him to ask me again ... assuming he will.
