!973 Dodge Charger — I've had my Charger for about 10 years now. Just got it painted 3 years ago. Got the roof redone 2 years ago. Got the exhaust replaced this year. Hoping to get the engine work done next year. Little by little. But it's mine, it's paid for, and it gets a lot of looks. I like it!

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Cons

None that I can think of.

Have Always Held A Place In My Heart. — Great styling for those that can appreciate real American classics. Started life as a grocery getter 318 cid, auto trans. Will be putting a gas guzzling 440 cid power plant as soon as possible. Tree huggers beware. Back to the good ol' days when there was no replacement for displacement.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros

I love the looks-the sound of the V8-the ride quality and the nostalgia of this American muscle car

Cons

I dont hate anything-steering could be better

Fast Fun And A Look Like No Other — Performance wise this car is heavy and large-Despite this it 0-60's in 6 flat thanks mostly to the built 340 that will get replaced with a 440 next summer Disc brakes stop the car very well-ride is smooth and comfortable-Ive had to rebuild nearly everything on the car over the last ten years but I shouldnt have to do much mechanically unless I want to for another 10 years:0)

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros

These Chargers are finally catching on-this would be a great entry level car for someone with a little bit more money

Cons

Nothing at all

My Bottom Line Would Be 12,500 As It Sits-more Like 14k When I Get It 100% Done. — This isnt my fastest car but the 440 makes a wonderful sound! I built this car to be a nice cruiser so it has a highway friendly rear diff-The build quality is improving with every restoration I do-the paint and bodywork are nearly flawless as are the interior and pretty much everything else on the car. This particular Charger is the smoothest riding muscle car Ive ever had-even more so than the other Chargers Ive owned.

Pros

Had the SE model. Car had rear sway bar option and 60's on the rims so it handled great for 4000lb+ beast. Beautiful exterior and interior. Car was unusually quiet from road noise. Smooth 400 motor pulled like a champ. Got looks wherever it went.

Cons

Brakes were mediocre at best and would fade badly if carrying 3 or more passengers in bumper to bumper traffic.. Had rust bubbles in paint after only a few years. Dash pads in these cars all dry-rot and crack.

73 Charger Se. Fun Car To Own And Drive. — This car was the epitome of what people would look for 20 years later. Luxury and pwerformance. Car was as quiet as any car in its day yet. Seats were as comfortable as anything else on the road. Car had the most beautiful lines. Looked sporty as well as luxurious. Best of all, was the "machine gun" exhaust tips. Gave the car a rough and tumble look too. Should have never sold it.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Worthy To Be A Dream Car! — there really isent much to say only that the 1973 charger had many pros, the conventional system has yet not failed in the mighty image of the charger. Although the image of a charger is usually a 1968 charger body style, but the 1973 body is much more complex and more so understand. handling is much more persise and its a much more comfortable ride. It is definatly worth of being a dream car to many car enthusiasts, its mine!

Still Needs A Lot Of Work Yet, But Still Cool — I like the 73 charger, It has legroom up the wazoo! I'm 6'4" and that means a lot to me. The 440 pads the package.Currently has a 12.5:1 906 heads,509 292 108' 727 with 411 gears. can't pick a paint for it though and that part is getting closer

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)
