Always Wanted One, Have Had It For 7 Years, Never Disappoints — Excellent acceleration for its era, braking is good, handling crisp-- power steering offers no feed back. Build quality- frame, powertrain solid, body looks good after all these years. Exterior is beautiful, I personally like the interior design, and it fits me well (or I fit it well). Eats gas, but gas economy is not why I got it. Have had some expense in suspension restoration, but other than that, just fine. Great fun to drive, the Corvette rumble is wonderful to listen to. NOTE: in October of 2011 I had to rebuild the Rochester Q-jet. The rebuild was reasonable and everything is working fine now. The crud that is in the 10% ethanol gas in this area is unbelievable, the interior of the carb around the jets and in the bowl had what appeared to be a light reddish-white particulate in it. The filter was not clogged so I presume it settled out of the fuel once in the carb. Try to run real gas in these things or find an additive that can treat the problems with gas that has 10% ethanol in it.

Pros

Its a blast to drive and run it through the gears on twisty mountain roads

Cons

37 year old car that requires regular maintenance that I do not mind doing but may scare unmechanical types

Great Collector Car To Enjoy Cruises And Car Shows In — Fun car to drive and gets lots of looks and comments but it is a 37 year old car that cannot compete with todays technology in its stock form. I prefer to keep it original and enjoy those summer cruises with the T-Tops off

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Hot 73' Stingray — All my driving life I have wanted a "Vette" I always pictured a 78' but I fell in love with my little yellow "RumbleBee" She's fast, sexy and fun as heck to drive. Even when she's grabbing pavement she looks like a peice of art...a car of the past. I have had many sports cars, 78 Firebird,78 Camaro,66 Caprice,89 5.0, 97 firebird, and an 86 Fiero...... but this baby will never, EVER be traded off, sold or given away. She's a keeper

Amazing — Its a beautiful car. The body is amazing, and it has the power to match the body. Not a good day to day car but a lot of fun to drive and good for getting a lot of looks. New Corvettes are so common that people tend to ignore them, but its impossible to ignore this one.

Eye Catcher. Lots Of Attention! — Turn key ready for cruising. Gets a lot of attention when sitting at stoplights. Very simple car to do any kind of upgrades and the cost isn't way out there either. I have a (Corvette America) parts cataloge that comes with the car.

Pros

I have owned this car since July 1999 and it has been a labor of love. I love the bodystyle, Coke bottle, for those of us old enough to remember Coke bottles. The availability of parts is abundant, it is a Chevrolet after all. Every area of this car inside and out has been improved upon, comfort, handling and performance--it will haul Aztec.

Cons

The cost of paying someone else to perform any work on the car, I don't !

"code Red" — There is absolutely nothing I dislike about this car, after 12-years of ownership I have it just about where I want it. However, I am considering changing the wheels and tires soon. My wife wanted to know when would it be finished, it will never be finished ! There is always something to do to the car, unlike my BMW which you can only buy gas and have it serviced. God Bless Zora Arkus-Duntov, the Father of the modern Corvette.

Fun To Show Off In — its loud, it draws positive attention, love to rev it. re upholstered seats, 2 extra seats behind the driver, still have original battery, updated mirrors, custom chevrolet emblem caps. very very fun to drive, removable convertible hood, with pop up headlamps

1973 Vette - - - - - - — beautiful car, i miss the chrome front bumper but its only a new front clip away. handles beautifully, looks amazing, and has tons and tons of torque but not speed to a certain extent. you can easily top 160 on express way with her. interior looks great, dash looks good with all those specific gauges for heat oil temp. would need new suspension but stock works great. overall its a perfect vette, they just dont make them that beautiful anymore. i wish the motor wasnt capped as much as it is. Surprisingly the 350 only pushed 190hp, which would be equivalent to a stock 2007 6cylinder charger. drivability its a work of art. sitting inside for the first time is nothing less that sheer amazement. inches from the floor, its gives a sense of speed and agility like never before. winshield is deeply angled to make in aspect with the body of the car. driving visability is really low but that doesnt necessarily mean its a bad thing its a corvette! in laymens terms, you can probably get more visability out of a 2010 camaro than you would from this vette, but it one of the numerous reasons why i love it.

1973 Corvette — Performance- For the era, it was amazingly fast. Not so much any more. Still pretty fast though Build Quality- Well its a 36 year old car... of course it has issues Appearance- Thoughts may differ, but this car is gorgeous. They definitely went form over function as the interior is somewhat small Cost of Ownership-Once again, this is a 36 year old car. Once it is fixed completely, then it won't cost much to maintain. It really drinks gas though Fun Factor-Once all the kinks are worked out, this car will be amazing. Fast, gorgeous, and rare, people pay attention.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Corvette 73 — For being so old it is a great car. Performance is really good, needs some suspension upgrade to be able to compete with modern cars. It is a really fun car to drive. It does consume some gas so to say.
