Rates Up With My Favorite Car As This Car Was The First I Ever Owned — I bought this car while I was in the Army. It was my first car and looking back I couldn't have chosen a finer car. Now owned by a very smart guy who wouldn't sell this back for any amount, jerk. I only regret that I don't still own this beauty as it is so extremely valuable today. This car would cost you today in even just reasonable shape from $50k and way up from there depending on a lot of factors. In mint condition, all matching numbers this car can be in the $250k range at Barrett Jackson Auto Auctions AZ. everything is matching.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

1970 Mustang- A Trail Horse For The Ages — Performance- very good- strong pull in 1st gear to 4800 rpm, shifts into 2nd at 55 mph, and covers the 1/4 mile in15 sec. This is a bone stock cast iron Windsor, with high flow intake and headers / H pipe for exhaust. Build quality- built in Feb 1970 in Methuen NJ, it is typical of "Detroit quality" for the era... mediocre at best, but anvil tough design and materials. Appearance- good straight rust-free condition, but needs fresh paint and some door dings removed. Interior immaculate, eat off the "show-car custom" engine. Exterior styiling? This was the last Ford car designed by Larry Shinoda, who penned the immortal 1963 Corvette split window coupe.' Nuff said. Cost of ownership- dirt cheap for the fun factor, plus the car has increased in value by 15% since bought in 2008. Fun factor- booming exhaust note and bags of low end torque make it priceless; my 1st car in high school was a 1970 coupe purchased in 1972 for under $2500. (I have $13K in the "new" one).

Yellow Boss — really fast in a straightline .70's oversensitive power steering not cool when agressively going through the gears. gas mileage not a consideration. the cars function is to look and sound great while launching from one stop light to the next. which is does great. factory rated @ 290 Hp was low and engine redlines @ 8000rpms

My 1970 Mach 1 — The Mach has a ford 347 stroker with a 6 speed gear vendors overdrive. The paint is ford ultra blue and it has black leather interior. The car doesnt just look good though. it sounds amazing and is a blast to drive!

Pros

Looks great. There's a V8 packed in that engine bay. It's a FORD. Sounds pretty good with single exhaust. Doesn't like going slow.

Cons

Small hesitation in the low end (0-25 MPH). Doesn't have dual Flowmaster Super 44s (in the process).

M U S T A N G — The Mustang is a fantastic car. Always screaming for personal originality, the mustang is an open (beautiful) canvas waiting for the individual to paint a masterpiece. I am a lucky owner. The small block 302 is ready for high revving action. The stock 2V is always ready for upgrading. She handles pretty good, but keep in mind, it is a 39 year old car. Braking is standard for drum brakes. It's a Mustang...I'd say it looks pretty good. Gas mileage.....lol. Actually, it isn't to bad (I'm thinking around 15 mpg). Heck of a car to drive!

1970 Convertible Mustang — I loved the thought of getting a classic convertible! I always wanted a convertible 1962 - 1964 convertible Impala, & now I've got this 1970 Mustang convertible. Since picking it up, waiting for the impala to drop in my lap won't be as bad of a wait!

I Wouldn't Trade It. — When it was running it rode ruff but was a blast to drive. I bought it in 1986 my junor year of high school. After high school I joined the Army drove it when I was in the Army at Ft Sill OK. I plan on restoring it.

Great American Muscle Car, For A Reasonable Price — Great looking car, great gear sound. You need to get some bucks if you wan't to mantaing a good looking Mustang over the years. Mustang 1970 is a unique pice of work from Larry Shinoda, for me is one of the best looking mustang of history, nowadays there's not a lot of this cars out there.
