1967 Ford Mustang Overview
The first of the Mustang's many redesigns came in 1967, bringing with it a 390-ci V8 engine with 320-335 horsepower. Among the most well-known trims in the 1967 model year is the GT-500, a powerful machine inspired by the Shelby.
1967 also brought the introduction of the Mustang's competitors: the Chevrolet Camaro and Pontiac Firebird. These cars have fought for supremacy of the pony-car class over the last 40 years, continuing to push each other forward.
