Nice Weekend Driver — i liked building and painting this SS, it takes about 2 years for me in my spare time working lots of hours each week on motor, bodywork, brakes , electrical, interior, and painting , wet sanding and polishing...not perfect but still a very nice driver.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros

Ride is good, handling is excellent, power moderate with original equipment. Looks are far above anything else

Cons

Rear seat is not really comfortable. Have to be careful about certain replacement parts as the first Camaros used parts from other Chev vehicles

Wouldn't Let It Go For Any Price. — 2/2012 Just put my optional drive train in it for a while. 396 / Saginaw 4 sp. crashbox. OH what joy. Pure good looks. Love to watch the NOx'ers drool. The bucket (w/o headrests) seats are very comfortable to me, but then I'm only 5'8"/150 lbs. Driver side floorboard irritating to passenger as part of it was driven 1 1/2" into the foot area years ago to get Dougman headers on it. Stability and stance are great, partially because the rear tires are mounted on "deep dish" station wagon rims (w/original hub caps) and the front is on early 70's chevy smoke grey 5 spoke mags. I bought this used in 1970 and it has been and is a real joy to have. It's still a driver and will stay so. I'm retired, so I really get to enjoy it now.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros

You can never go wrong with a old muscle car

Cons

Expensive

Great Car — Performance - The engine is a 454 from a pickup with long tube headers and Edelbrock carburetor. Build Quality - Some of the trim pieces have come off inside and outside. Appearance - The driver side door is a little warped and there is some surface rust under the car. Cost of Ownership - We are going to have to put a lot of money into this car before it is road worthy. Fun Factor - The transmission is set for drag racing so it is pretty fun but it does not have enough power to get it to go fast enough.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Power, Performance, And Appeal — I love it. My favorite car ever. I would recommend this car to anyone who loves the classic American Muscle car. All I can say is one thing - power. The 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS can be used for cruising, commuting, or racing.

Pros

High performance muscle car

Cons

Needed better brakes as it had drums on all corners.

My High Performance 67 Camaro — This 67 Camaro was my high school muscle car that I purchased as a rusted out shell. I did all the work myself. I replaced the trunk pan, both floor pans, both quarter panels, and built a $4000 400HP chevy 350 4 bolt main race engine. This car killed Mustang 5.0 by the time I was shifting from 2nd gear to 3rd.

Camoro Rs 1967 — My first, best muscle car. 1967 was the fist year for the camaro. It was a rally sport package with (vacum operated) hide a way headlight, 327, 210hp, 2bbl carb, factory a/c, powerglide auto trans, 4 wheel drums, center console shifting, and a dinged up R rear quarter. I added 4bbl carb and electronic ignition.
