1960 Chevrolet Impala Review
ProsMy First car that taught me many things about Vehicle Maintenance & restoration. Price was right. $500. Roomy interior. Hot Heater. No A/C but all windows went down. ConsThe Rust was the worst part of this car. Hard top windows always leaked. Hard on Gas milage.

I Learned About Love In This Car. — It was my first love of a Car. It had Style, Comfort, Power in a 348ci Turboglide. It was expensive to Maintain because of Mileage over 100,000. In her day was the Top of Chevrolet vehicles. Nice roomy interior. The Impala was a very stylish vehicle & stood out from the crowd. Primary Use: Commuting to work |

1960 Impala Ride — I have the 2 door model with power brakes and steering. Compared to todays cars there is a marked difference but if compared to models of its era it would have to be considered as much smoother than most. My rating above reflects it compared to cars of its era. Owner for 3 years, 6 months Miles Driven per Year:2,000 |

The Most Beautiful Car I Have Ever Owned. — I was the proud owner of a 1960 Chevy two-door sport coup. Dual antennas on the back and dual rear view mirrors on the front fenders. The streamline styling made it look like it could fly. The dash was designed with unbelievable balance and beauty. The steering wheel was georgous. One can only hope that some day Chevrolet will again build such cars of elegance. |
