Jack My favorite of my dads cars. It was all Midnight Blue with all white leather inside. Power everything. South Texas to Ohio and back in the back seat as a six and seven year old when dad (the right stuff Navy Pilot) was on leave. He took just me out on a south Texas highway at age six and showed me what 110 MPH felt like, then told me that's the speed he took off at when flying.
On vacation wth the car brand spanking new, some poor schmuck working at an Oklahoma Buffalo Ranch tourist trap had the bad luck to put a bumper sticker on the car. When Dad saw it there was murder in his eyes. With my Dad looking over his shoulder for the slightest scratch, the poor guy was allowed to use nothing more than warm soapy water and a sponge to remove every trace of it, so that he could live to see another day.
I still have the picture of me on a stuffed buffalo in a bucking pose, wearing chaps and waiving a cowboy hat overhead.
